Kay-Kay and I went to the beach Tuesday. It was so perfect. We waited till around 4:00 so it wasn't terribly hot and after we had been there for a little over an hour the sun started to go down so then it was actually pleasant. We used plenty of sunscreen so no sunburns this time! We saw crabs, several kinds of birds, fish in the water, things we don't normally see too much because the beach is normally so busy and crowded. Kay actually likes to play in the sand now and figured out how to shovel sand this time WITHOUT constant help. (She used to flip out at the feeling of sand, grass, or anything like that.) We play in the water till we're worn out, take a break with books, magazines, puzzles etc. and then go back to the water for awhile. I took her Micky toys to play with OUT OF THE WATER but she decided when we went back to the water the second time, that they ALL needed to go splash, splash in the water. So she stood there for the longest time throwing them in one by one as they tossed back and forth in the water and then they would finally wash up on shore. Thankfully there wasn't much of an undercurrent and the tide was out. We also watched a bunch of crane type birds swooping and diving in the water for fish. It's not unusual to see birds like that here in Fl but you don't see them at the beach as much in the day but I guess since it was evening by the time we left, they were ready for dinner. I was just going to post the pics. from Tuesday but then I realized I had some beach pics. from March and April so I posted them all in one slideshow. Enjoy!

Cute pics of summer fun!=) I also always like the choice of music you have with the slidehsows.
What fun, good for her getting such joy out of the sand. She has indeed come a long way.
