The third park we did when my mom and Joy were down here was Animal Kingdom. We were pretty worn out from doing a park the day before so we got a later start. Thankfully, this park is a bit smaller than some (not counting all the land that's on the Safari, which you ride through.)
Animal Kingdom is really a beautiful park. There are lots of trees and there is some really pretty scenery. The two "countries" that are there - Africa and Asia - are very well themed and look quite authentic.
Up toward the front of the park in these ponds where the waterfalls are, are various ducks, swans, etc.
I find this particulare species of duck so fascinating looking and a bit amusing too for some reason.
There is a pair of black neck swans that are beautiful. One of them kept going straight down under the water. I'm assuming it was getting food off of the bottom or something but it looked so funny to see it with just its behind sticking up out of the water.
The hideous looking anteater. :-)
A picture in front of the Tree of Life, the icon of Animal Kingdom.
Waiting to see Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger.
(I actually got Wyatt to smile)
They match - partially anyways.
Eeyore is as cute as he can be!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture!!! The one from photopass is even a little brighter and you can add Tigger's autograph but you get the idea with this one.
