Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party - Part 5

We watched the special fireworks display for the party.  They have all kinds of cool lighting and images projected on the castle throughout the fireworks.  The music and narration was different from the normal fireworks show.  At the end they had perimeter fireworks which meant besides being above the castle, they were all around us at the edges of the park.  It was quite an amazing show (though the normal nightly fireworks shows at Magic Kingdom are good too.)  We don't usually watch them for Kaelyn's sake but since the park wasn't very crowded, we were able to find a place where we could sit down without being in the middle of hundreds of people.  Between both earplugs and noise cancelling earphones, Kaelyn was able to tolerate them and it was cool to be able to get to seem them rather than finding the nearest building to "hide out" in like we normally do when we're there in the evenings during the fireworks.

These pictures are from the "Boo to You" parade, a special night parade they do just for the party.  Believe it or not, these are just a few of the pictures (and also just a few of the characters and floats that were in the parade).

Beginning of parade

Rach, I thought you all might especially like this but I'm not sure you can see it well enough to get the whole idea.  Eeyore's costume was a clown costume, Tigger was a pirate (complete with pirate hat but I don't think you can tell here), Pooh was in his Super Sleuth costume (I thought that was kind of cheating) :-), and Piglet was a butterfly.  They were so cute.  :)  Also, Roo was dressed up like Tigger and Rabbit was a pumpkin but our picture of them on the float came out fuzzy.

Country Bear Jamboree float.

I'm not really sure what this chicken was from or what he was supposed to be but he "bawked" in time with the music.  :-)

The wicked queen from Snow White.

Goofy's candy co.  [supposedly] supplies all the candy for the party.

Goofy riding his candy machine.

Just a pretty shot of the castle at night.  (It's always this beautiful at night time.)

Kaelyn was WORN OUT and fell asleep on the short walk from the monorail back to the car.  She had been going from 6:45 that morning till we left shortly after midnight that night!

This Halloween party looks brilliant. I am pleased to see that everyone had an awesome time over there. Anyways, I also would be throwing a bash for my son on his birthday at the local event space NYC and he also wants Halloween theme so I am seeking ideas for the decent kid friendly bash.
