Kaelyn and her cousin Emilee. She LOVES Emilee! This picture was taken after my Grandmother's funeral back at the beginning of April.

Picture(s) of the day - Oldie Goldie Day
Kaelyn's class picture for this year taken a few weeks
ago. The lady sitting at the front of the group is
actually a sub. since their regular teacher was out
for 3 weeks after having surgery on her thumb.
The other two ladies are both full time aides in
Kaelyn's class. Also, there are two of her classmates
missing from the picture as well.
As with any pictures on the blog, you can click on
the picture to enlarge it and see it better. (This
one is a lot further back then most pictures I post.)
REAL, REAL Oldie Goldie for the week:
I'm the charming little girl on the right with the
beautiful hair just in case you couldn't tell. (I tried
and tried as a little kid to get my mom to comb my
hair every day not just twice a week but she just
didn't see the need for it. :) Actually, that's as far
from the truth as possible since she probably combed
my hair twice a day and never could seem to win
the battle with my messy hair).
Rachel is the one on the left - with perfectly neat hair
I might add. She never got holes in her tights, or
dirt on her clothes, or her hair in her face. :)
Lynette is the star of the show standing up on the
chair in the middle with the microphone right in front
of her. :)
We were such beautiful, talented children! :)

Picture(s) of the day
I'm not really sure why, but a few days ago Kaelyn was determined to give Buster a bath (even though I had just given him one a couple days before that.) It was actually pretty funny because she had put both his dishes and a couple of his toys in the tub all in an attempt to "bribe" him into the tub because he jumped out every time she put him in. He doesn't usually try to get out when I give him a bath but he wasn't very cooperative for her. :)
Yes, she did have the water running even though
you can't tell it in the pictures.
P. S. I know these are just supposed to be pictures
of the day but I always seem to have to include a long
explanation. Of course it's always your choice to
skip the text and just enjoy the pictures.

Picture(s) of the day
This is a post that I posted on facebook yesterday but my pictures for today go along with the posting so I copied and pasted it to here:
Tryin' to start teaching Kaelyn about working, money, etc. I had her help clean up in the kitchen tonight - as much as a 4 year old can. As soon as she finished, I gave her a quarter to put in a new money bank we got her. I explained that everytime she does "some jobs" I will give her a quarter to put in her money bank. She went skipping off excitedly and said, "That sounds swell!" :) We don't want to "pay" her for every chore and we will separate regular responsibilites from extra chores as she gets older but we want her to begin understanding that you have to actually work to get money and you have to have your own money to buy things.
She was so proud of this money bank. We found
it at the flea market yesterday for a few bucks.
She carried it all over the place very carefully.
It IS hard plastic though and not breakable.
It's just perfect for her with some of her
favorite characters on it. She is really
excited about the whole "helping out/
getting quarters for her money bank" thing.

Picture of the day
So I'm a little late getting my picture of the day up today. I actually had better things to do today than post pictures online - mainly just spending the day with Kevin and Kaelyn. :) But... I am sticking with my "commitment" to post at least one picture a day though a bit late. :)
Kaelyn is very fascinated with my MP3 player since Kevin got it working for me again (after it sat idle not working for a couple years). I'm afraid she's going to claim it for herself but that's another story. Anyway, I was listening to various songs last night and I had my earphones in. She heard me singing along and realized it was a Disney song she loves and she wanted to hear it. So I gave her one of them and she ended up sitting beside me listening to music with me for awhile while I was on my computer.

Picture(s) of the day
This first picture is Kaelyn outside of Winnie the Pooh's house in Pooh's playful spot at Magic Kingdom. She got to play in the area one last time a couple weekends ago when we were up there. It is now being bulldozed for a massive expansion at the park. :( It was a really cute area with Pooh's tree house you could play in, a slide, giant honey pots you could climb on, etc.
Peeking out a window of Pooh's house.
And... since I've missed all my family terribly since coming
back from Indiana, here is a "goldie oldie" so to speak...
This was a November here in Fl. I think it was '99
or 2000.

Picture of the day
Once again, I managed to "find" two pictures rather than one. These are from last month. Kay LOVES cookies. We had some just out of the oven cooling off and she was dying to have one. After they had cooled off and Kevin put them on a plate, he told her that she could have one now. She walked out to the kitchen and promptly grabbed the whole plate of them! :) We got a couple pictures before we took the plate away (she probably could have about eaten the whole plate and I'm not exaggerating by much).
This was after we had taken some off and Kevin
sent her into the living room with just a few on
the plate for her and I both to have.

A picture for the day
Here is a new picture for today as already posted on facebook so if you are friends with me on facebook you have already seen this (the first one anyway).
Kay with Alice from "Alice in Wonderland"
Okay, so I decided to "grab" the one next to
it and post it as well. Enjoy!
P. S. Gonna' try to make this a "feature" - at least on here.
So we'll see if I get one up tomorrow. :)
