Pictures from our weekend trip

I already mentioned that we spent the weekend up in Orlando for Kevin's birthday. We really had a blast! I shared a few pictures already but I just made up a slide show of the rest of them so without further adieu, Fort Wilderness pictures:

Weekend Trip for Kevin's Birthday.

We are in Orlando right now at Fort Wilderness.  Fort Wilderness is one of the Disney World resorts but it is the only DW resort that is camping and cabins.  We left yesterday afternoon with Rod and Betty and their 4 youngest kids and we all rode in their RV.  This is a "birthday trip" for Kevin since his birthday is Monday and we rarely do much for his b.day.  We got up here and to our campsite around 6:30 yesterday evening.  While Rod got the RV all hooked up, Kevin and I and all the kids went to some of the eve. activities they have here at the resort.  They had two campfires where people could roast S'mores and Chip and Dale came out and walked around getting pictures while there was singing and stuff.  When that all ended, they showed a movie on a huge screen outside.  Last night's movie was Tarzan so we all stayed and watched that.  After that, we all ran out (we towed the van behind the motor home) and got something to eat and some breakfast stuff for this morning.
Today we slept in and then went to the pool.  The pool area had a big waterslide, a hot tub (not that anyone wanted to be in THAT today), a baby pool, and a whole kid's area complete w/waterfalls, fountains, and two small (less scary) slides.  :)  There were shelter houses in the same area and lots of trees so there were some nice shady spots.  I am posting some of the pictures from yesterday afternoon and last night

Zach, Meagan, and Kaelyn on the bunk of the RV.  Andrea and Jess below.

Kay-Kay was looking out the window from the top bunk as we were going down the road.  She's pretty excited about the novelty of being in the RV since she has never traveled like this before.

Kay-Kay and Buster - yep, he got to come along this time.  :)

Some pictures from July ----- of 2007

Yep, it's some more "oldie goldie" photos - or better known these days as "pictures that make mommy cry or at least want to cry".  :)

Rach, Kay, and Snoop.  This wasn't an unusual sight at all back in the day.

All I can say is "aawww".  :)

Look at those little ponytails.

My little star.  A lot changes in 3 years huh?

Reactions

I'm using a new feature of Blogger called "reactions".  At the bottom of each blog post you will see 3 boxes where you can choose what you thought of the post by selecting one of the reactions.  I may eventually change the reaction choices but for now I have just left the default options that blogger has.  It's kind of like the "like" feature on facebook for those of you who are facebook users.  It's a quick way to respond to a post without having to take the time or try to come up with a comment.  Not that I don't love getting comments but I thought it might let more of you "respond" more easily.  I'm not completely sure how it all works but I thought it would be cool to give it a try so if you have any thoughts or "reactions" be sure to click on a box.  :)

End of School

So as you can tell by the title of this post, I am still "catching up".  Kaelyn's last day of school was June 10.  It was particularly sad since she will not be going back to Jensen Beach for Kindergarten.  She has made so much progress in the last year and a half that they do not feel like she needs to be in a class specifically for autistic kids.  That part is wonderful of course but a completely different school with all new people is scary -probably much more for me than her.  I took some pictures of her in the classroom in the morning of the last day of school, then we hung around for a bit when school was over and took a few more.

I like this picture a lot.

This is Kaelyn and Ms. Debbie - one of the two full time aides this year for the class.

Ms. Nancy was an aide in Kaelyn's class both last year and this year.

Kaelyn and her teacher Miss Marilyn.

A final hug.  Kaelyn loved Miss Marilyn SO much!  I know she's going to miss her.  :(

Out in front of the school.  The giant viking in the background is the school's mascot.  (I think the statute is kind of hideous personally but no one ask me what I thought of it so he's still there.)  :)

Reality Check

Last Wednesday, Kaelyn and I went up to the mall to have lunch with some friends that I used to teach with and I had not seen in forever.  After we left there, we went to Target to pick up some school uniforms.  With school starting in about a month, I figured that I should start picking up an outfit here and there so we don't have to buy several all at once.  As I was leaving Target all I could think was "I can't believe I'm actually buying school uniforms for my little girl".  Where has time gone?  SERIOUSLY!

Catchin' Up On Happenin's

These are some pictures from when Lynette and Aaron and the kids were down here back in May.  I had originally included them in the slideshow of beach pictures that I posted below but the slideshow was too lengthy so I cut them out and posted them separately here.  Most of them are from when Emilee and Kaelyn went down to the playground while we were all at Rachel and John's.
Kisses - sort of.

Walking to the playground.

LOVE this picture of Emilee and Kaelyn.

Entertaining Wyatt while his mommy packed boxes.

I thought this picture was pretty cute.

Beach Fun With Family

When Lynette's family was down here back in May to help Rachel and John move, we went to the beach for a couple hours Sunday afternoon. We took quite a few pictures and I liked them all so well that I did not leave many out of the slideshow. :) The kids all had a great time and Kaelyn was just thrilled to have her cousins with her at the beach!

Impromptu photo session

These pictures are some snapshots of the three of us the last Sunday that we were at Rachel and John's for Sunday dinner before we all went on vacation and they moved.  It had been awhile since we had gotten any good pictures of the three of us (other than at Disney) so we ended up going outside to get a few.  So if you have recently been thinking, "Man I wish the Mosenthins would do a photo session so I could sit and look at lots of pictures of their family" then this blog post is just for you.  :D
Later in the afternoon of the same Sunday, we all went down to the playground on campus.  Kaelyn loved the fact that she could get Rachel to do everything with her.  They did the merry-go-round, slide, teeter-totter, and played in the playhouse.  I put all those pictures in a slideshow and posted them below.  So if you're REALLY just killing time, you might enjoy those.
Most of these pictures don't really need too much explanation.

I know!  My husband pointed out that I had to have my hand out in the best picture that was taken of the two of us but who wants a palm branch in their face?  :)

And besides we look charming in this one too that I didn't ruin.  Ha ha ha!  :)

This was in the tree house in Rach and John's back yard.  Kaelyn always loved climbing up into it and peeking out the windows.

I imagine she was performing here since she was elevated to where the whole world could see her.  :)

P. S. (For you Net) The next post (slideshow) on my "list" to blog is beach pictures from when Net and Aaron's family were down here to help Rach and John move.
